Gary Herd told us about this cabin and suggested we visit it. It's located on private property near D Highway. The Absher family raised their large family in this cabin in the late 1800s. According to their grandson, Gene Duckworth, this cabin was built after their first one burned. The cabin has a main room, loft, and what appears to be a addition "lean to."
Near and dear to our hearts, the barn of our great grandfather, William Bruffett. The home has been replaced with a new home, but the barn remains.
